Merry Christmas!

Santa paid an early visit to the Bernstein household this evening to put goodies in the kids stockings.  This is definitely one of the most hilarious videos ever!  Sebastian is happy, confused and terrified by Santa and Mia simply says "I don't like it".  For some reason, Santa doesn't speak for the first 2 minutes but he's still jolly.  The camera is pretty jiggly (due to me trying not to laugh outloud) which lends to the cheesiness of the whole ordeal!  It's made us laugh all evening, enjoy!  Thanks to Aunt Cheryl for the Santa costume!

Snow Fun!

We had one of the best afternoons EVER yesterday.  We played in the snow in our front yard with our neighbors.  The kids made a snowman, threw snowballs and best of all, the kids had a blast sledding.   Then we came inside for some nice hot chocolate!

We had an incredible weekend in Las Cruces!  We went down to baptize our little godson James Harrison.  My family also managed to surprise me with a birthday party!  Great weekend, great family, great time!

Our Big Boy!

This is Sebastian's first school picture!  He had a great semester and even though he's the youngest kid in his class, he's one of the smartest according to his teacher!  He loves his school and has learned a lot!  We are all so proud of our sweetheart!

November

November was a busy and fun month for the kids.  We had lots of company drop by, Andrew and Ashley, Aunt Cheryl, Uncle Ron, Grandma and Grandpa and Tio James and Tia Hilda.  The kids had a blast with everyone!

Halloween 2011

I was lucky enough to take a trip to visit Jesus and Doug back east and I had a BLAST! Not only did I get to attend the most phenomenal Halloween party of all time but I visited the Mutter Museum and a ghostly penitentiary in Philadelphia AND I got to see a musical in NYC.  While I was gone, Sebastian had his first Harvest Festival at his school and Aunt Cheryl visited Robert and the kids.  I got home just in time for Halloween and took the kids out trick-or-treating with their buddies Gage and Victoria!

Robert spent another week away on business so the kids and I spent part of the time with family down in Cruces.  As usual, the kids had a great time with tios and tias and cousins!  They got all sorts of special gifts from Tia Hilda and their Nina that they brought back for them from their European trip.   Their Nina (thank goodness!) drove back up with us to Albuquerque and spent the remainder of the week with us.  When Robert finally got back,  we took the kids to the pumpkin patch and spent most of the day there.  We came back dusty and exhausted, but it was worth it!  Now we're ready for Halloween!  Hurry it up Aunt Cheryl!  We're ready for some Halloween fun!

My Girl

You can barely hear Mia singing in this video but she's turning into a real chanteuse!  Right now her favorites are the A, B, Cs and the Micky Mouse song.  She also likes to recite some of her favorite nursery rhymes like Humpty Dumpty and Baa Baa Blacksheep.  Did I mention she's also counting?  Not bad for a 20 month old.  Her big brother is a great teacher! Yeah, I'm the mom, I get to brag a little bit  :o)

Up, Up and Away!

We had a great time this weekend, on Saturday we went to the Balloon Fiesta then on Sunday we went to the airforce base airshow! The kids were mesmerized by the balloons. At the airshow, the boys really liked getting up close to all the aircraft and watching (and hearing) the B1 bomber fly by.  What a great weekend, now Robert's off on some more traveling.

Rainy Day

The kids had a ball splashing around in the rain.  Mia kept yelling at us to watch her and Sebastian, well, Sebastian can't pass up jumping in any puddle especially one this size.

Sebastian is loving his new school.  Mia is always sad to say goodbye to him and so happy to pick him up.  Thanks Aunt Cheryl for the t-shirt and dress!

Halloween Came Early this Year at Our House

Sebastian LOVES his Cat in the Hat costume and Mia was trying on her brother's old panda costume.  She has a kitty costume that she'll be wearing this Halloween (thanks Nina!!).

Home Again!

After being away 3 weeks for work, we finally have Robert back and we are all so VERY, VERY happy!  The kids were besides themselves when he walked into the house.  Let's not do that again, next time we're coming with you !

NM State Fair

We got to go to the fair before Robert had to go on his next business trip and we had a blast!  The kids always enjoy looking at the animals but this year, the corn bin and the model trains were the biggest hits.  Once Robert gets back, we may just have to go again.  And for those of you wondering, yes, at the end of the day I found a few kernels of corn that had slipped into Mia's diaper!

Here are some short clips of the kids being silly and showing off.  I've heard Mia count up to 10 when they play hide and seek, I'll have to be quicker with the camera next time but here's a little clip of her counting.

Mambo Italiano!

Since Robert's been in Europe, going to conferences in both England and Italy, the kids and I got a chance to visit family in Cruces.  The kids got to play with a lot of their cousins and we got to meet the newest cousin, James Harrison!  Now that we're back in Albuquerque I took the kids up the tram to Sandia Crest.  The kids enjoyed it but I came home exhausted. The kids can't wait to see Daddy!

Yay Kenji!

Our good friends Eugene, Karen and Kenji came to visit us for a long weekend and we all had a great time.  I think Sebastian and Kenji are going to be good, lifelong friends!  They played, jumped and danced and they even streaked us a few times before their bath time!  We hope they make their trip out to Albuquerque an annual trip!

Sleepover!!!

The kids got to visit with some cousins over the weekend and best of all Cousin Rowan got to spend the night!  He and Sebastian had a great time playing all sorts of games including a zombie game they played outside.  He's been asking for Rowan ever since!

Garcia Reunion 2011

Almost 50 of us gathered together for this reunion and it was loads of fun!  Sebastian and Mia had a ball with all of their cousins, tios, tias and even a Yaya or two!  We had a picnic, went swimming, played Wii Just Dance 2 (Sebastian showed off his spanking dance), and yes the boys wrestled A LOT!  Awesome time!  Love you all!
